We love children! We enjoy having them with us in church, and we provide something for them every Sunday of the year. We have a separate "Children's House" building just for our children's classes and activities. During the school year, we have Church School classes for children of all ages: Infants, Nursery and Kindergarten children have their own service and program, beginning at 10:00 a.m. in the Children's House. Older children attend the first half of the service in church with their parents, then process out for their own classes until 11:00 a.m. Some Sundays all ages work together to prepare for major festivals. Projects have included cooking, gardening, art and drama. On special Sundays (usually the first Sunday of the month) the children may remain in church for the whole service. (Pre-schoolers may attend their regular classes instead if they wish.) The liturgy is designed with the interests and attention spans of children in mind, and has only a children's sermon. During the summer months, children have an opportunity to go outside during the sermon for a story and picnic snack on a blanket.
